A pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl on the road with the help of locals in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati as she was allegedly stopped from entering the government maternity hospital here two days ago. However, Tirupati district collector K.V. Raman Reddy said that in the investigation it has been found that this allegation is false.

The collector said on Tuesday that the woman was mentally unstable and was wandering unnecessarily in the hospital area. Due to severe stomach pain, she fell on the road.
Citing the investigation report submitted by the hospital superintendent, the collector said that a 21-year-old woman from Bilaspur gave birth to a healthy baby girl and both are being taken care of in the hospital.
Raman Reddy said, “The woman fell on the road near the hostel of Sri Venkateswara Medical College at around 4.10 pm on Sunday. The local people saw her and found that she was going through labor pain. She gave birth to the baby girl with the help of the local people before the hospital staff reached there.
